Our Programs
The Primary Montessori Class
The Primary Montessori Class at The Children's Schoolhouse offers a nurturing environment where young learners can grow academically and emotionally.
We welcome children ages three and up who are potty-trained. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year, based on space availability.
Our Story
We are a 40-year-old Montessori School in Wilmington, NC, dedicated to creating a loving and supportive environment and a safe place for children to learn and grow to the limit of their abilities.
Our lead teachers hold Montessori teaching certifications and four-year college diplomas. All other staff are seasoned Montessorians or hold master's degrees in Early Childhood Education.
Our teachers are grateful for the privilege of working with young children.

Montessori Marine Science Camp
Immerse your child in the wonders of the ocean at The Children's Schoolhouse Montessori Marine Science Summer Camp! This engaging program is open to the community and caters to children ages three-and-a-half to six.
Thanks to Hieronymus Fishing Charter and Guide Service, campers will "dive" daily into captivating stories about sea creatures and meet fascinating marine life up close.
Through arts & crafts, music, and outdoor fun, children will explore the ocean environment, learn about protecting our coastal ecosystem, and make new friends in a nurturing Montessori setting.
